The "BB Local," the Lexington Branch local freight train, is seen at Bedford Depot on April 5, 1949, as it continues northward to Billerica. Boston & Maine Railroad "Mogul-type" engine #1454 is in charge this early spring day. Our thanks go to John M. Boardman for recording this classic scene from a bygone era. |
